Business license
A business license is an agency record of licensed activity under a licensing program. A license reported at an address does not prove property ownership, a current lease, or tenant occupancy.
Start freeDC record context
Quoin's approved DC release includes one Department of Licensing and Consumer Protection basic business license feed and three Alcoholic Beverage and Cannabis Administration licensed-location feeds.
How it links
License records describe activity at a reported premise. The source record can link exactly, across a building or several parcels, or as nearby context.
Research limit
Use the official license portal and source record details to verify status. Use separate assessor, deed, lease, and occupancy evidence for questions outside the license record's purpose.
Verified example status
Quoin does not publish a license example on this definition page yet. A source record will be added only after its stable official verification route and property relationship have been reviewed.
