Terms of service.
These terms govern individual access to Quoin Data and its source-linked Washington, DC property-record tools. Effective August 13, 2026.
The service
Quoin Data Inc. provides read-only software that helps users research public property records and follow source references. Quoin does not provide legal, title, appraisal, zoning, compliance, occupancy, lending, or investment advice. You are responsible for verifying material facts with the responsible public agency.
Accounts and eligibility
You must provide accurate account information, keep your account secure, and use the service only for lawful purposes. Individual subscriptions are for one person and may not be shared, transferred, resold, or used to provide unauthorized third-party access.
Trial and subscription
Eligible new users receive one 30-day trial. A payment method is not required to begin the trial. If no payment method is present when the trial ends, the subscription and access pause. If you add a payment method and continue, Stripe charges $199 in U.S. dollars each month until cancellation. The price and renewal timing are shown before purchase.
Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel through the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period, and access continues until then. Payments are non-refundable except where required by law or where Quoin expressly agrees otherwise. A failed renewal may receive a three-day access grace period before access is suspended.
Permitted use
Quoin grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for your own research and internal business purposes while your access is active. Public-record source materials remain subject to their applicable source terms and attribution requirements.
Acceptable use
- Do not misuse the service, evade access or usage controls, share credentials, or attempt unauthorized access.
- Do not use automated means to scrape, bulk-export, reproduce, resell, or build a competing dataset from the service unless Quoin gives written permission.
- Do not interfere with the service, probe for vulnerabilities without authorization, or use results for unlawful discrimination, harassment, fraud, or decisions prohibited by applicable law.
- Do not remove source references, ownership notices, or limitations presented with the records.
Availability and changes
Coverage, source systems, tools, and service availability may change. Quoin may suspend access to protect users, sources, or infrastructure; address misuse; comply with law; or resolve payment issues. Material subscription changes will be communicated through the service or account contact information.
Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided on an “as available” basis. Public records can be delayed, incomplete, inconsistent, or corrected after publication. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Quoin disclaims implied warranties and is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Quoin’s aggregate liability arising from the service will not exceed the amount you paid Quoin during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.
